-on worksheet 8.5 write out in words how you would solve #1-6, you do NOT need to do the calculations

-finish reading 2.3 and answering questions from class
-if you were away, complete the reading and then complete vocabulary for 2.3 in Cells and Systems, answer the Check and Reflect at the end of the section (only if absent)

-there is no homework, but it is coming up to exams, so reviewing previous material would help
-spend 15 minutes reviewing Mix and Flow (read the summary notes at the end of unit, look up concepts you don't understand)

-formulas and examples for this can be found on page 252 in the textbook
-in general, Volume = area of the base x height
-homework for tonight is Pg 253 #1-10, 12
-quiz tomorrow on surface area of prisms (3 questions)

-used microscopes today to look for the differences between plant and animal cells
-will continue activity tomorrow
