-started Solving Equations assignment, first 15 questions should be done for tomorrow
-it will be marked out of 90, 3 marks each question, 1 for work, 1 for correct answer, 1 for check
-it will be due after the break
-strip reports were sent home with students today to show their progress for the term, they need to be signed and returned tomorrow, tomorrow is a catch-up day

Science
-sheets were sent home showing what assignments have not been handed in, they need to be signed as well and returned tomorrow
-questions from the board in class are due tomorrow

-continued work on study skills

-waves and tides worksheet due tomorrow (Tuesday)
-if you didn't hand in your 2.0 Science notes today, make sure you get them done for tomorrow

-worked on study skills for quizzes and test, ask your student what they learned
-no specific homework, but they can review solving equations probelms which is Unit 6 in the textbook

Science
-wrote 1.0 quiz on Fresh and Saltwater
-ask your student how they did on the quiz, they know their marks
-homework: Web Notes for section 2.0 are due Monday
-make sure you have a resonable number of points so that all the major concepts are covered

-if not finished assignment from yesterday finish it and hand it in tomorrow
-textbook work pg 189 #39-48 is homowork, try your best by doing as many steps per question as possible

Science
-learned all about waves...ask your student what they learned today
--study for 1.0 Freshwater and Saltwater quiz tomorrow

-rewrote ditributive property quiz
-started worksheet called "What Were the Headlines........"
-worksheet is due tomorrow, work must be shown, 1.5 marks for work, 0.5 marks for answer, total out of 28

-learned about pH and how it affects water quality
-complete Check and Reflect Pg 347 #1,2,4
-complete Focus On #1-3
-reminder of section 1.0 quiz on Friday

-took up distributive property and like terms quiz
-practiced more of these type of questions
-entire class will rewrite quiz on Wednesday
-homework: pg 196 #34-39, you must also draw algebra tiles for these equations

Science:
-discussed hard and soft water
-homework is the Check and Reflect for 1.2 Pd 346 of Fresh and Saltwater #1-3
