1) Car projects were due today. See previous blog for details.
2) Strip reports were sent today, please check your students progress, they can hand in missing items up to tomorrow at 3:30.
3) We started unit five today. Title pages were assigned to be handed in with the notes at the end of the unit. A small group project was completed today.
Science
1) We wrote a quiz today. Anyone away has to make up this quiz upon their return. Remember it is your responsiblilty to come and write it.

Math
Today we worked more with compound interest and continued work on the car projects. The entire chart should be complete for tomorrow. There is a Part B that needs to be competed as well. It consists of four questions. I would suggest you try them for homework tonight so if you have trouble you can get help in class tomorrow. The whole project is due Monday. You must submit a cover page, the completed chart and the answers to Part B.

Science
Today we completed a pinhole camera lab. The students are required to finish all the write-up for the lab and complete the followup questions in the textbook at the bottom of page 185 #5-11.

Math-
Notes for unit 4 were collected today, if you were away you must hand them in when you return. We learned about compound interest, and continued work on the car projects. The next two columns of the car project are due tomorrow (Interest & Total Interest). This project is due Friday.

Science
Today we learned about optical illusions. Tomorrow we will be completing a lab activity, so for homework tonight you must read the PinHole Camera Lab and copy the Purpose, Materials and Procedure. Finish any questions that weren't completed in class.

Math:
Today we continued learning about simple interest. The class started a Car Project that will be due Friday. In this project they will be figuring out the cost for financing two different cars at different interest rates. This is the end of unit project for section 4, and it will count as a test mark. The hoemwork on the porject for tonight is to complete the first 5 columns on both charts. If you get stuck look, at the project description page for formulas.
If you were away today, make sure you pick up the handouts tomorrow.
Reminder: Unit 4 notes are due Wednesday (tomorrow)

Science:
Discussed the history of ideas about light. Homework is pg 181 #1-5. It is due tomorrow.

Welcome back!
Math:
Today we worked on a logic problem and then learned about interest rates. Homework for tonight is to complete the work on simple interest in the textbook on page 130 #1-9. Remember to use the formula: Interest = Principle X Rate X Time

Science:
Today we have started a new unit in Science called Light and Optics. A title page was assigned, and is to be finished for Friday, it can be completed by hand or on the computer. Questions were assigned in class and they are to be completed for tomorrow.
